Educator
Two-time nominee for the North Carolina Symphony's Best Educator Award, Grace founded and directed Triad Chamber Music concert series and the Young Performers Workshop in North Carolina. Through these initiatives, she produced multiple chamber music concerts and organized workshops that taught young musicians collaborative skills and how to use their voice to direct rehearsals, culminating in student performances throughout the region. Both programs garnered significant recognition, being featured in articles and interviews by WFDD Public Radio and the Winston-Salem Journal.
Currently, Grace is an adjunct instructor at Queens University in Charlotte, where she teaches cello. She actively directs cello workshops in North Carolina and Virginia, including her signature Cello Retreat programs, for which she arranges music and conducts cello choirs.
Her teaching experience has included coaching cellists and chamber music at UNC Charlotte, the UNC School of the Arts Summer Chamber Music Institute, and the MYCO chamber music program in Chapel Hill. Grace is sought internationally for masterclasses, recently working with students at Peru's National University of San Agustin, and has also taught masterclasses at Appalachian State University and East Carolina University. She has served as a competition adjudicator for UNC Chapel Hill's concerto competition as well as American String Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association competitions. Grace has shared her insights on arts and entrepreneurship as a guest speaker at Wake Forest University's Center for Creativity and Innovation and at the North Carolina Cello Society, demonstrating her commitment to fostering both artistic excellence and the power of musical connection.
